What Maiker is
Maiker is an AI matchmaker. There is no swipe feed and nothing to browse. A Matchmaker learns what a member is actually looking for and introduces them to people who fit, a few at a time, with a written explanation of why every introduction was made.
Members get three introductions a day, or five with VIP. Every accept and decline teaches the Matchmaker more, and a member can tell it directly what to change. Maiker also hosts in-person singles events, with tickets sold in the app.
Maiker is available in the United States and launches this fall on iOS and Android.

Founder
Short bio
Mike Siegel is the founder of Maiker, an AI matchmaker launching this fall that replaces the swipe feed with a few explained introductions a day. He spent a decade in talent acquisition and people leadership, making compatibility calls for a living, and now does the same thing for dating.
Full bio
Mike Siegel is the founder and CEO of Maiker, and works on it full time. He spent over a decade in talent acquisition and people leadership, where his job was reading people and judging fit: who will thrive together, and who will not. Maiker turns that judgment into a Matchmaker that works for everyone, every day.
He found his wife on dating apps through sheer persistence, not because the apps worked. Watching a family member go through the same broken experience years later is why Maiker exists.
He built the whole company himself: two native apps, the Matchmaker, payments, events and an admin console, approved on Google Play. He ships fast, spends carefully and measures everything.
Story ideas
Mike is happy to talk about any of these, on the record, in print or on air.
- Dating apps were never trying to match you. What a product does differently when it is built for people to leave rather than to keep scrolling.
- What a decade of hiring teaches you about dating. Interviews and first dates are the same problem, and the criteria people screen for predict surprisingly little.
- What changes when the matchmaker has to explain itself. Every introduction comes with a written reason, and that one constraint changes what the system can get away with.
- Meeting his wife on the apps and still thinking they are broken. The founder story behind Maiker.
