Maiker, Inc. · How to permanently delete your account and the data attached to it

If you still have the app

Open Maiker and go to the You tab.
Tap Sign Out.
Tap Delete Account and confirm.

Deletion happens immediately. There is no waiting period, no cooling off window, and no way to undo it. You do not need to contact us and nobody reviews the request.

If you no longer have the app

You do not need to reinstall Maiker. Email hello@meetmaiker.com from any address and tell us you want your account deleted. Include the mobile number you signed up with, because that number is how accounts are identified and it is the only way we can find yours.

We will confirm the request is genuinely yours before deleting anything, then delete the account and reply to confirm it is done. We aim to complete this within 7 days and will not take longer than 30.

What is deleted

All of the following goes permanently, whichever route you use:

Your account and your ability to sign in
Your profile, your photos, your self description, and your profile facts
Your entire Matchmaker conversation, including any photos you sent in it
Everything your Matchmaker recorded about what you want and what you are looking for
Every introduction made to you and every introduction that showed you to somebody else
Your matches, and the messages, photos, videos, voice messages and reactions inside them
Your notification settings, your saved devices, and your sign-in sessions
Your city and the market you were grouped into

Your side of a conversation is removed for the other person too, because the conversation itself is deleted rather than hidden. What we cannot reach is anything somebody saved outside Maiker, such as a screenshot.

What is kept, and why

A small amount of information survives deletion. None of it can be used to sign back in or to rebuild your profile.

Reports and blocks. Kept where we need them to protect other members or to meet a legal obligation. Deleting an account is not a way to erase a report made about it.
Records of event tickets you bought. Kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Financial and usage records, with you removed from them. Subscription and AI usage records keep the transaction and drop the person, so the row survives with no link to you.
A record that a deletion happened, holding no name, number, email or identifier of any kind. It carries only a city, how long the account existed, and counts of activity, so we can understand why people leave.

Residual copies inside encrypted backups are removed within 30 days.

Two things to do first

Cancel your VIP Membership separately. Deleting your Maiker account does not cancel it. Apple and Google bill you directly and we cannot cancel on your behalf, so cancel in your device subscription settings before or after deleting, or you will keep being charged.

Use any tickets you have already bought. Deleting your account releases your seat. If you want a refund instead, ask us before you delete, because afterwards there is no account to refund.

Deleting some of your data instead

Maiker does not offer partial deletion, because almost everything we hold about you exists to make introductions and removing part of it would leave your Matchmaker working from a false picture. You can change anything on your profile at any time by asking your Matchmaker, and you can pause introductions without deleting anything, from the You tab.
